Dogs Have Their Day at Strut Your Mutt
All Breeds Gather Nov. 5
for Doggone Good Time

Every dog has its day, and for many Clark County pets, the annual Strut Your Mutt event is a favorite. Canines and their companions can step out together from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at Dog Fanciers Park, 5800 E. Flamingo Road near Boulder Highway. Four-legged and two-legged visitors alike enjoy this premiere pet event, which brings all breeds together for a day of activities, contests, booths and performances. Admission is $2. Donations of canned dog food can be used for admission as well.
Strut Your Mutt is known for its contests, and this year is no exception. Dogs and their owners can compete in categories such as Howl at the Moon, Ugliest Dog, Best Belly Scratches, Doggie Musical Chairs, Puppy Love Kisses, and Silly Pet Tricks with and without props. An additional one-time fee of $2 per dog is charged to those who wish to participate in any of the contests. Registration for contests begins at 10 a.m. with the first contest beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Food and beverage vendors and booths featuring Las Vegas animal retailers, organizations and rescue groups will be on hand as well as performers such as Sit Means Sit and others. The event is sponsored by Clark County Parks and Recreation, Parents Guide, The CW Las Vegas, My LVTV, The Vegas Dog, 96.3 KKLZ, 102.7 The Coyote, 720 AM KDWN, 105.7 The Oasis and107.9 Bob FM.
