About Entertaiment
Entertainment is a broad concept and can involve any form of play, celebration, or social interaction. It can be as simple as an individual enjoying a pre-recorded movie or a banquet with appropriate music and dance; as complex as a theater production or a global event with an audience of thousands. Although it is generally a lighthearted and enjoyable experience, many forms of entertainment have a serious or even dark side when they cross over into other areas such as work, politics, and religion. The word “entertainment” derives from the Medieval Latin intertenere. The prefix inter means inside, and the suffix tenere is derived from the Indo-European root of ten, which also means to stretch.
