Parents Guide to Las Vegas

Parents and kids will find this family friendly movie a non-sleazy delight. Although some scenes will be of interest to teens, the story and music will appeal to everyone. The movie also provides a unique opportunity for families to talk about their views on gambling, generally depicted in the film as innocent fun. Families can discuss how far this type of fun can go and when it becomes a problem.

MPAA explanation: Some sexual and crude content, a sex scene, and drug references. In one scene, a woman in her 20s sings torch songs and reveals moderate cleavage; she later asks an older man for sex; he replies that he doesn’t remember. During another scene, a woman says to her husband that she is “crazy in bed”; her implication is that he is not faithful to her. Several characters drink heavily; there are multiple instances of profanity and innuendo. The story includes a sham marriage, which can lead to a discussion about the importance of strong and supportive relationships. There is a brief nude scene and a couple of erotic sex acts.
